Why this site exists
ISO certification pricing is famously opaque. Quotes vary widely, "from" prices rarely include the real implementation effort, and it is hard to compare one standard against another before you have spoken to a salesperson. Certification Costs exists to give UK organisations an honest, vendor-neutral starting point: clear guides to each standard, and calculators that show the full cost — implementation, audit and ongoing — rather than just the headline audit fee.
How we estimate
Our calculators use a transparent model based on typical UK day rates and audit durations, adjusted for your organisation's size, process maturity, number of sites and chosen implementation approach. The assumptions are explained on the how it works page and beneath every calculator. We would always rather show our working than present a single mysterious number.
What we are not
We are not a certification body, a consultancy or a reseller, and we do not issue certificates or sell audits. We are an independent information resource. For anything binding — scope, requirements, timescales and price — you should speak to accredited certification bodies and consult official sources such as the ISO website and UKAS.
